One of my biggest disappointments with the Tidbyt app was the lack of scene options. What if I want my Tidbyt to only display “gaming” apps for a while while I play video games? Or only display sports while the games are occurring? I would have to literally disable every app I did not want, and re-add it later.
I want to be able to make scenes / groups and enable / disable them at will.
Examples -
“Installed Apps” Group similar to how the app is now, the default.
“Group 1” with apps 2, 6, 10, 11 and 13
“Group 2” with apps 5, 7, and 8
If you are confused at all please leave a comment I really feel like this feature could help out a lot.

You can pin particular apps and it will only cycle through those apps. Then un-pin them to go back to your normal list

This is by far the most common feature request. You can find new requests about this every other day, with different wording - tabs, groups, scenes.
Here are a few of them, you can easily find them using the search bar:
The night mode feature is useful in achieving the ideals of reducing energy usage and prolonging the life of the device. To further the pursuit of these ideals, providing operating modes the user can customize would be nice, possibly combined with a motion based sensor similar to how Nest Thermostats manage a home’s climate.
Operating Modes
Allow the user to select from a set of default operating modes (e.g. home, away) or create custom ones (party, vacation) to drive the unit. Each mode has i…
I would love to save and organize apps into groups, sort of like playlists - each with their own apps, app settings, and schedules.
Then I could pick a different list / group to be active depending on my mood / what I’m doing. Perhaps I could also schedule different playlists to display at certain times.
I’ve just started playing around with my Tidbyt (just received it!). One thing that I initially would love to see, is the ability to quickly switch between configured sets of applications. Maybe I have a party page mode that bounces between Spotify and some other fun apps, and a second page where it is more business time focused (say stocks, tweets, and weather). Now it seems like I’d need to remove and add apps each time I want to change the default display.
This would also support a use case,…
I think it would be interesting to have folders that contain various apps.
For example, when I have friends over, I want to show a different group of apps then when I’m alone. There should be an easy way to switch between groups of apps instead of doing it one by one.
I believe tabs would be great.
Click a different tab and it has all the different things you want for that day or certain time/event.
Instead of clicking each app and scheduling them if you have tabs you can put what apps you what showing in certain tabs instead of having everything mushed into one!
For example:
sport tab where I’d place all my sport score apps and news.
I request this because I have a ton of apps installed and you just never know when you only want to see a certain subject…
Perhaps this has been mentioned already and I kissed it in my search…
The ability to have sets of screens that you can cycle between automatically or manually. While I know you can currently set times screens show. Perhaps there are groups that you don’t want to have (example) stocks in.
So…
Set 1 is screen A, B, C and it shows from 8-10
Then it switches to set 2 screens that are A, C, D, and E the rest of the day.
I’m sure this is on it’s way, considering the feedback.

True true, but still a dedicated group preset would be very useful
