Support for animated photos (WIP)

Hi gang

I was thinking about the tidbyt photos app and how it currently allows selecting an image from the device and displays it.

However, it appears animated GIFs do not work this way.

Can animated GIF/Webp support be added?
Perhaps adding image by URL will be a great way to add animated items

Hey @James,

We have a branch which adds support for animated GIFs in the Photos app. It offers the same type of cropping as for still images. A bit more work is needed before we can include it in an iOS/Android release, but it’s in the pipeline!

I’ll do my best to bump this thread when it’s out.
