New Tidbyt 2 User Experience

I just got my first Tidbyt, the 2nd version, and set it up a few minutes ago. At first, it seemed simple. The Bluetooth connected without trouble, and the app setup on my iPhone 13 Pro was smooth.

I first tried creating an account with Google Auth, and it stalled out every time. So I tried with just plain email and that worked smoothly.

I added my Tidbyt 2 and selected a few apps and tweaked their settings… and it’s still just cycling the Tidbyt animation on my box.

I know the device is connected to the internet as both my WiFi and my Firewalla say it’s got an Internet connection, so I don’t think it’s a server connection issue.

I tried powering it down (holding the Touch Bar) and back on to no avail.

Am I missing something, or is mine malfunctioning?

Ok, I’m mystified. I changed nothing but now I’m suddenly seeing the screens I set up. They just started happening 40 minutes after I set the device up.

Alright, I’m pleased to report that now, approximately an hour after the initial Out Of Box Experience ( OOBE ) and a supplemental Over the Air (OTA) update, the Tidbyt 2 seems to be slurping down new screens within a few minutes of me configuring them. Cheers!
