It seems that the folks at Flipper, the ones behind the Flipper Zero, are jumping into the niche that the Tidbyt folks have left dying. This seems much complete to be honest. It even incorporates Google Home and Apple Home integration via a Matte Protocol. Definitely more solid than whatever half-a** integration, and lack there of, that Tidbyt offered.
Of course, it will have to be seen when released. It is currently in pre-order. However, the Flipper people do seem legit and very savvy when it comes to these type of gadgets. Honestly, this product gives the vibe of literally being the encapsulation of most of the Tidbyt “Feature Requests” tab on the forum.
