When a Marquee widget is first displayed, none of the text is visible. I’ve love an option to have the text start left-aligned. I’d also love an option to stop the scrolling once the end of the text is visible. Perhaps those two options should be one in the same.

Sounds good! I opened this as an issue against Pixlet on GitHub.
Another option I’d like you could call a bounce
When text scrolls to the end, it will stop for a moment, then scroll back towards the start, where the text again will stop for a moment when it reaches the start then proceed to scroll back again
