Home assistant sensor value to Tidbyt

Hi

I have a use case where I want to publish a sensor value from home assistant to my Tidbyt.
I have managed to read out the value through rest api from Home assistant.
Similar to how the bitcoin solution is done

The question is really when publishing and running is it running within my local network or is it dependent on access from the outside?

It’s dependent on access from the outside. The Tidbyt servers in the cloud will be making the REST call if you publish this via the community repo.
