Can the Tidbyt be managed remotely?

I want to gift the Tidbyt to a family member that isn’t super tech savy. He loves watching all sports and there seems to be some great apps for displaying scores.

I was thinking of setting it up at my home and then connecting it to the person’s wifi later. Would this work or would I need to have the person install the app to troubleshoot/update/add apps later?

You would need to set it up on your family members network to begin with. Once it’s connected to the network you want it to be on, you could remotely install apps on it from your own phone.
